In the Covenant Action Plan (CAP), individuals, churches, associations, and state conventions are asked to financially support the National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. (NBCA) on a monthly basis.
The leadership of the convention is striving to make CAP's monthly giving the primary method of support for the convention. CAP’s contribution goes towards the operational costs needed to operate the convention on a daily basis which includes, but are not limited to the payroll for the executive staff, operational costs of our headquarters building and the support of our convention causes which are evangelism, education and missions.
Each individual, church, association, and state convention is asked to please commit to becoming a partner, which means to consistently place CAP in your budget and to send a check each month to the Office of the Treasurer at the address listed below. Your partnership is important to us and we ask that you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly partner by completing a pledge card either electronically or by downloading it and mailing it in to the Office of the Treasurer.
Please send your monthly payment to:

On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO, where Rev. Dr. Wallace Hartsfield is pastor, a historic event took place that enhances the theological educational opportunity for our members.
National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. (NBCA) represented by Rev. Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr., President, and the Chicago Theological Seminary (CTS) represented by Dr. Alice Hunt, CTS President, announced and signed an agreement that officially launches the NBCA Online Seminary! Members of NBCA churches will have an opportunity to apply and be awarded scholarships for a Master of Arts, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry almost totally online. The scholarship recipients will be referred to as ‘The Wallace S. Hartsfield Scholars’ and will receive tuition discounts from 30% and in some cases up to 80%. The strategic planning process was designed to include the wisdom and imagination of denominational officers, pastors, congregational leaders, and the general membership of NBCA. This inclusive approach to discerning God’s will for the denomination and cultivating a collective vision for the future included conversations in September 2014, during a Special Session convened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to launch a multi-year focus on Prayer, Planning, Unity, Renewal and Worship.
We started a journey to imagine a new and exciting future together. We gathered data from NBCA Pastors and constituents to ensure that we benefit from the deep and broad experience and insight of many who are serving faithfully across the country. The initial process has been accomplished. We organized the input around “the convention serving congregations.” You have spoken, and we are responding with this Strategic Plan that outlines the way forward for the next few years.
